About the event
The National Economics Challenge (NEC) is designed to identify and nurture the most talented young economists in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Round 1 (Online Selection):Participants competed in an online qualifying round where they answered multiple-choice questions (MSQ) covering both microeconomics and macroeconomics. This stage allowed us to fairly evaluate theoretical knowledge and select the most promising participants.
Round 2 (Final, Offline):The top participants were invited to the offline final. Here, they were challenged to solve a real-world business case and present their solutions before a panel of judges specialized in economics and business management.This format not only tested academic knowledge but also assessed critical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Impact:With 500 participants across 14 cities, the NEC brought together talented students from 50 schools, building a strong foundation of economic thinking in the region.
