About the event
The Major Economics Olympiad (MEO) brought together some of the brightest young economic thinkers from across 6 countries and 19 cities.
Round 1 (Online Selection):Participants began their journey with an online stage, where they answered multiple-choice questions on microeconomics and macroeconomics. This step ensured that only the most knowledgeable and well-prepared students advanced to the finals.
Round 2 (Final, Offline):The finalists formed 104 competitive teams and presented their solutions to a real-world business case. Their presentations were delivered before a distinguished panel of judges specialized in economics and business management.This stage emphasized practical application, teamwork, innovation, and presentation skills, giving participants a chance to bridge theory with real-world problem-solving.
Impact:With 345 participants representing diverse backgrounds, the Olympiad became a true celebration of ambition, creativity, and critical thinking. It provided an international platform for collaboration, innovation, and learning — leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
